Dr. Richard Lau is an interventional pain management physiatrist. He is double board certified in both Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the ABPMR. Dr. Lau practices interventional pain medicine at the world-renowned Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health in Manhattan, where he is also on faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Dr. Lau's practice include musculoskeletal medicine, biomechanical evaluation, and minimally invasive spine interventions to diagnose, manage and treat pain conditions. Dr. Lau completed an ACGME accredited pain medicine fellowship at the University of Rochester within the Department of Anesthesiology. During his fellowship he was highly trained in fluoroscopic based procedures. He was also trained in regional anesthesiology techniques including ultrasound guided nerve blocks for complex neuropathies. Prior to this, Dr. Lau completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Temple University Hospital and MossRehab joint program in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his M.D. from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
