Dr. Yuxi Chen, an Associate Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatrics, is an expert in pediatric rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine. Currently, she holds the positions of Director of the EMG Lab and Pediatric Spasticity Service at Montefiore Medical Center, NY and Co-Director of the Multidisciplinary Function Clinic, which caters to complex medical cases.
Dr. Chen is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR). She is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and has received the Gabriella Molnar Pediatric PM&R Research Grant. Her research encompasses topics like Virtual Reality Analgesia (VRA) for pain management during Botulinum Toxin Injections (BTI) and the effectiveness of Dysport® in upper and lower limb spasticity.
A frequent speaker at national and international conferences, Dr. Chen is committed to sharing her expertise. She also contributes to global health by participating in medical missions to Jamaica and Iraq, where she offers consultations, lectures, and workshops to local healthcare professionals, exemplifying her dedication to improving healthcare on a global scale.
