Dr. Antigone Argyriou is currently in private practice at Spine Medicine and Surgery of Long Island, in New York with a focus on Interventional Pain Management. She completed her PM&R residency and her Pain Medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center. She served as the President of the New York Society of PM&R from 2017-2019 and is currently serving on its Executive Board, where her interest and experience in local and state advocacy began. She is also a member of the Medical State Society of New York (MSSNY) and is a Suffolk County Delegate to the Society, participating in several House of Delegates meetings. She went on to serve on the AAPM&R's Council of State Society Presidents, serving as the Chair of the Committee from 2019-2021, the same year that she was selected into the AAPM&R's Future Leaders Program. After graduating from the program in 2022, she joined the AAPM&R's Reimbursement Policy & Regulatory Affairs Committee and was then appointed as the Alternate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) Advisor for PM&R to the American Medical Association. She continues to advocate for the field of physiatry and patients on a local, state, and national level with the goal of advancing the specialty of PM&R, and improving healthcare for all.
