Dr. Tracey Isidro is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. She graduated from Rice University in Houston and pursued medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas, she pursued residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and had the privilege of training at the #2 ranked rehabilitation hospital in the nation TIRR Memorial Hermann. She then completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine and Queens.
Dr. Isidro was recently awarded Top Doctor’s Women in Medicine Award for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York. She is also the recipient of Baylor College of Medicine's Women of Excellence Award. Additionally, she was one of two trainees in the nation to be selected for the Most Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award by the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP).
On top of her clinical work, Dr. Isidro is very passionate about leadership, advocacy for women physiatrists and physician wellness, medical education, and mentorship. Dr. Tracey Isidro and her twin sister Dr. Stacey Isidro have spoken nationally and written on topics including tips on how to be happy, healthy, and successful and recently gave a talk at AAPM&R on Lifestyle Medicine. Moreover, she is dedicated to supporting the upcoming generation of physicians through workshops, lectures, and mentorship for career development as an active member of AAPM&R, AAP, and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM).
Outside of medicine, you can find her making fun dance videos and highlighting medical content on Instagram with her twin Dr. Stacey Isidro (@drstaceydrtracey), volunteering with Achilles International, and exploring new restaurants.
