Erek Latzka, MD, RMSK, is a Sports Medicine Physiatrist at Boston Sports & Biologics in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he has been since the summer of 2023. Prior to that he was an Attending Physician and Clinical Assistant Professor of PM&R and Sports Medicine with the University of Washington's Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, where he directed the diagnostic ultrasound curriculum for the PM&R, Pediatric, and Family Medicine Sports fellowships. Dr. Latzka earned his M.D. at Tufts University, completed a PM&R residency at UW, and an ACGME Sports Medicine Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center. He has provided medical care for UW & Seattle University Collegiate Athletics, the Seattle Reign (NWSL), the Seattle Storm (WNBA), the Seattle Marathon, the Seattle Slam Quad Rugby Club, and the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. He has also served as an Unaffiliated Neurologic Consultant managing concussions for the XFL. He is a former Division I varsity track & field athlete at UNC-Chapel Hill and an active high-school football reminiscer. His clinical interests include diagnostic ultrasound (RMSK certified), minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedures (including USG carpal tunnel and trigger finger release), and orthobiologic treatments. He is an expert in the field of orthobiologics, having served as a clinical expert for the Washington State Health Technology Assessment Program, and as member of both the AAPMR Biologics Curriculum Committee and AAPMR Technical Expert Panel on Biologic Management of Osteoarthritis of the Knee. Most importantly, he is the trophy husband to his more successful partner, Dr. Jessica Raber-Latzka, and father to three children, Leor, Talia, and Julian.
