Dr. Leila Bagherzadeh is a Postdoctoral fellow in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds an MD degree from Shahid Beheshti University of medical sciences, Tehran, Iran; she has completed her PM&R residency at the same institution.
With over 7 years of dedicated experience as a physiatrist, her current research focuses on therapeutic interventions for knee pain under the mentorship of Professor Thomas J. Schnitzer. She is also interested in the application of AI and robotics in rehabilitation medicine and is a medical advisor for a startup company.
Beyond her academic life, Leila is passionate about ballroom dancing and enjoys sketching and biking.
