Resident Physician
University of Utah PM&R Program
Omar D. Rachdi is a Moroccan-American dual-citizen and grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where his passion for community engagement and service was born. Omar went to Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) where he got his degree in Biochemistry & Biophysics. Omar obtained his Doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Western University COMP-Northwest. Omar combined his love of science, engineering, and helping The People by pursuing physiatry and is completing his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation here in Utah. Omar helped create the EDI-PM&R committee. TLDR; Omar is a heart-sleeve-wearing goofball who just wants to hug the world’s problems away whilst sipping hot Moroccan mint tea with friends and family. In his free time, Omar loves to cook, write, travel, and spend time with his wife, two cats, one dog, and three chickens.
