Natalie Dean, DO

My name is Natalie Dean, DO and I am a PGY-4 resident in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I have a special interest in the management of chronic neurologic disease eg. neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, movement disorders such as Parkinson's Disease, and congenital diseases such as Cerebral Palsy that persist into adolescence and adulthood. Like our fellow palliative care physicians, I recognize with this population of patients I tread on sacred ground when discussing what really matters to patients in terms of their functional mobility and how it impacts their interaction with the world around them. On another note, I just gave birth to my 5-month-old Nathaniel Matthew Dean, and love spending time with him and my husband Mark outside amongst the trees and squirrels!
