Jesse Champi, MD, PGY-3 Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA
Prior to my career as a physician, I used to own a gym and was a personal trainer and coach for seven years. My goal for my second career was to expand upon my mindset of exercise as a healthy lifestyle and shift my focus to exercise and rehabilitation as medicine. This brought me to medicine, where I attended medical school at Wake Forest School of Medicine, in Winston-Salem, NC. Throughout medical school I focused on learning as much as possible about anatomy while also sharing my time teaching and giving back to the community. My career goals include non-operative musculoskeletal medicine and interventional procedures with a goal of improving function and reducing the burden of pain.
