Christina V. Oleson MD is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland Ohio. She is board-certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Spinal Cord injury Medicine. She completed residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia PA and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. At MetroHealth, Dr. Oleson serves as the Associate Program Directore of the Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship. She has published widely on the topic of immobilization osteoporosis, having authored a book on the subject in 2017 entitled Osteoporosis Rehabilitation: A practical approach. Dr. Oleson is the Director of the Neuro-Osteoporosis Program at the MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute. In addition to work with NIDILRR-funded Northeast Ohio Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center, she is part of the AAPMR PASC Collaborative and coauthored the Breathing and Neurologic guidance statements for treatment of Long Covid. . In addition to clinical care those with post –acute sequelae of Covid-19, Dr. Oleson is a co-investigator with the RECOVER initiative that aims to identify mechanisms behind the long term effects of COVID-19.
