Dylan Tookey is a 4th year medical student at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University. Originally, from Torrance, California, he attended undergrad at UCLA. He is currently applying to PM&R residencies while also working on a project with his research mentors Dr. Noah Rosenblatt, PhD, and Dr. Marco Avalos, MD-PhD, as well as his classmate, Emily Standage. He is passionate about restoring function as he believes it is an essential component in maintaining independence and quality of life. He has developed a particular interest in Sports Medicine through experiences volunteering with "Team to Win" in Manhattan Beach, CA, as well as serving as a medical student volunteer at several race events (ie. Chicago Spring Half Marathon) in the Chicago area. He is also interested in learning more about the fields of Neuromuscular Disease and Pain Medicine, and hopes to explore this field more throughout residency.
