Richard T. Tran, MD is a resident physician at the University of Colorado Department of Internal Medicine. After completing his Preliminary Medicine Intern Year at the University of Colorado, he will continue his Advanced Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell.
Richie grew up in Englewood, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. After graduation, he worked for a few years as an engineer at a Silicon Valley Tech Startup in San Francisco. Richie subsequently obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was involved in research, medical education, and student wellness. His career interests include interventional and holistic pain management, musculoskeletal medicine, and sports medicine. He hopes to leverage technology to improve systems efficiency, access to care, and health equity.
