Resident Physician
Larkin Community Hospital PM&R Program
My name is Jasmine Sidhu, MD, from Larkin Community Hospital, South Miami. My life has been a journey of diversity, compassion, and healing. From the southern region of Texas to the majestic Himalayas, I have always had a deep passion for exploring new places, immersing myself in different cultures, and forging meaningful connections with people.
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada. Growing up in such a melting pot exposed me to various perspectives from an early age. However, at the age of 10, my parents and I made a significant move, and we relocated to Punjab, India. It was there that I had the incredible opportunity to study amidst the breathtaking foothills of the Himalayas. This experience shaped my worldview, deepened my appreciation for different cultures, and sparked a profound sense of curiosity and empathy within me.
Following my upbringing in Punjab, I embarked on my medical education journey in a small town in South India. After completing my undergraduate studies, I sought to expand my horizons further, and this led me to the bustling metropolis of New York City, where I completed 2 years of a surgical residency at SUNY Downstate University Hospital. I am currently a PGY 3 resident in sunny Miami.
While my professional endeavors have been an integral part of my life, I also find solace and inspiration in my personal interests. I cherish moments of quiet reflection, often found curled up with a good book, losing myself in its pages. Understanding the importance of self-care, I strive to balance my professional commitments with activities that bring me joy and rejuvenation. Cozying up and watching television is one of those simple pleasures that helps me unwind and recharge.
