Resident Physician
VA Caribbean Healthcare System PM&R Program
My name is Suzette Arias, M.D., M.S., and I am a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation PGY-4 resident physician at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I completed a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey campus and had the experience of studying at Florida International University for a semester as part of the National Student Exchange Program during my undergraduate studies. I then pursued a combined M.D., M.S. program where I completed my doctorate degree in medicine at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences campus and a master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Medicine from Mayo Clinic Graduate School in Rochester, Minnesota. Although there are many things I enjoy from Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, my top interests are Pain Medicine and Performing Arts Medicine.
