Now more than ever, the U.S. healthcare market is steering away from a traditional fee-for-service reimbursement structure and is progressing towards an extensive deployment of value-based care delivery models that seeks to support outcomes of highest priority to patients, families, and caregivers. This approach is known to support value over volume, by improving quality and fostering cost-efficient care.

In this session, health care payment and delivery reform expert Cindy Moon will go back to the basics of how value-based payment is defined. During this session, she will highlight the main components to a value-based payment system and what this shift means for members, their practice/organization, and their patients. This session will include an easily digestible analysis of the different alternative payment models currently available and what resources and tools are needed to achieve participation.
