Jonathan Whiteson MD is an Associate Professor of Medince and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is the medical director of the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program at Rusk Rehabilitation, NYU Langone Health. After graduating residency from Rusk and completing a years fellowship in cardiac and pulmonary rehab, he has focused his career in this area as well as the role of exercise in primary and secondary prevention and wellness. He is the Chair of AAPM&R's Exercise as Medicine community. At the AAPM&R annual assembly '23, Dr Whiteson will become the chair of AAPM&R's Specialty Brand Expansion committee and be on the AAPM&R's Board of Governors. Dr Whiteson is also the Vice Chair for Clinical Operations at Rusk and is involved in strategic planning for rehabilitation services across the continuum of care throughout the NYU Langone Health system. Dr Whiteson is involved in research and has published in numerous journals. He remains actively engaged with AAPM&R PASC Collaborative and writing groups producing guidance statements for the management of post-acute sequelae of COVID. He also co-authored a White Paper on the value of inpatient rehabilitation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Whiteson lectures nationally on many topics relevant to his clinical practice.
