Dr. Priya Patel is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation and Sports Medicine physician within the Orthopedic department at NYC Health+Hospital/Jacobi and Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Patel earned her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she graduate with honors in Biochemistry. She completed her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine where she was the recipient of the Rowan SOM Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Excellence Award. She then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where she served as Chief Resident in her last year and a fellowship in Sports Medicine with sub-specialization in Interventional Spine at Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Patel enjoys teaching and serves as faculty for the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course at Albert Einstein COM and primary preceptor for the Montefiore Sports Medicine fellows at Jacobi Medical Center. Her interests also include public health and policy and is involved in various multidisciplinary quality improvement projects.
