Pamela A. Hansen, M.D.
Pam Hansen, M.D., is a professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation with a subspecialty board certification in sports medicine. She specializes in musculoskeletal issues across the lifespan with a focus on maximizing ones functional and performance goals and overall health. Special areas of focus include spine and cancer rehabilitation. Dr. Hansen received her medical degree from Northwestern University, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Washington.
Dr. Hansen pursued fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Utah where she has remained. Clinical interests include initiating or maximizing exercise programs while preventing and treating musculoskeletal injuries in patients of all ages as well as quality improvement in medical practice. She founded the Huntman Cancer Hospital POWER Program in 2005 and serves as its medical director. She has served as the PM&R residency program director since 2009, and in 2019 became Vice Chair of Education for the PM&R Dept.
