Vishal Bansal is a 3rd year Resident Physician at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada where he completed his BSc. He has aspirations of becoming an Interventional Pain Physician and will be applying for the upcoming fellowship cycle to start in 2024.
His interest in pain medicine started during his 3rd year of medical school and has only continued to grow as he gets exposure to the broad depth of pain medicine. From counseling, medication management to minimally-invasive interventions with neuromodulation therapies, he enjoys working through a multi-disciplinary approach to help manage patients pain. He is dedicated to advocating for patient safety through his research work on application of Ultrasound with Color Doppler during intrathecal drug pump refills and multiple case reportsubmission to bring awareness to rare presentations.
He looks forward to a lifelong career of learning, providing care and educating through the growing field of pain medicine. Outside of his academic life, he is fond of travel, a connoisseur of culturally inspired cuisines and enjoys practicing the art of Muay Thai.
