Resident Physician
Albany Medical Center PM&R Program
My name is Krystal S. Lee, D.O., and I am a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) PGY4 resident at Albany Medical Center (AMC). I graduated from Wellesley College as a Biological Sciences major and devoted myself to nanotechnology research. I developed this research into a senior thesis and presented at the American Chemical Society Conference. As a result, I was accepted into the Sigma Xi honor society. After college, I mentored middle school students through the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston in Dorchester, MA, and volunteered at Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. I then attended New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine where, as Vice-President of the pediatric club, I organized donation drives and mentored elementary students in Bronx, NY.
Currently, I am working on two research projects. The first is evaluating the need for a standardized national institute of health stroke scale for non-native English speaking patients and the second on wearble posture correctors on the posture of parkinson’s disease patients. I am also in the process of completing LEAN training to help improve the quality of patient care and to prepare me as a future leader in the health care system. I am heavily involved in mentorship at AMC and actively mentoring medical students interested in PM&R. I enjoy learning all different aspects of PM&R but have a particular interest in cancer rehabilitation. When I am not at the hospital, I enjoy making Korean food, hiking and kayaking.
