Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Harvard Medical School PM&R Program
My name is Toqa Afifi. I graduated from Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar (WCMQ). During my studies at WCMQ, I founded the first PM&R interest group in the institution and the country.
I completed her intern year at Northwell Health – Peconic Bay Medical Center where I served as the Transitional Year representative and served on AAP’s Resident Fellow Council Social Media Subcommittee. I am currently a PGY3 at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital – Harvard Medical School where I co-lead the Ultrasound Committee and the READI (Residents Empowering and Advocating for Diversity and Inclusion) Committee. I also currently serve on the AAP Global Physiatry Subcommittee as the Resident Representative, the PHiT (Physiatrist in Training) Board of AAPM&R as the Residency Program Liaison and on ACRM as the Lifestyle Medicine Program Committee Liaison.
My interests within PM&R include Sports Medicine specifically related to female athletes, postpartum care in the female athlete, pelvic floor rehab and lifestyle medicine.
