Kimberly Heckert, MD is the Director of the Spasticity Management Fellowship and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her undergraduate medical education at Jefferson Medical College, her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University, and her Fellowship in Stroke Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is the author of one of the best-selling books for physiatry residents, “The 3 Minute Musculoskeletal and Peripheral Nerve Exam.” Dr. Heckert is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine. She is a lover of strong coffee, a triathlete, and a mother of two, and holds to a nearly fanatical belief that exercise can cure almost anything.
