Dr. Caroline Amerson is a dedicated resident physician at Tristar Centennial Medical Center, currently completing her transitional year of residency. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and will pursue further expertise in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Central Florida West Florida next year. She has previously served as the co-director of the UAB student PM&R interest group and as a student officer in Pathways in PM&R, a collaborative student-led program and is dedicated to expanding the reach of her field.
Dr. Amerson’s passion lies in multidisciplinary care, and she currently contributes to stroke care protocols as the resident representative on the Tristar Centennial stroke review committee. She also plays a crucial role in developing a MSK ultrasound curriculum for GME residents at her current program. Her special interest is in general inpatient rehabilitation, where she strives to make a meaningful impact on patients' recovery journeys. She has a strong commitment to enhancing patient well-being and fostering greater awareness of physiatry.
