David W. Pruitt, MD, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center serves as medical director of the CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation program as well as the CARF certified inpatient pediatric cancer rehabilitation specialty program. Dr. Pruitt is actively involved locally in the neuro-oncology longitudinal and survivorship clinics and has contributed on national organizations including the National Cancer Institute and the National Academy of Medicine in efforts to faciliate rehabilitation and functional interventions and outcomes for childhood cancer patients and survivors.
