My name is Maggie Vacchiano, a third-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I received my bachelor of science and did biochemistry research looking at proteins and their products as well as research on the opioid epidemic in Cook County, IL. During my time at Drexel College of Medicine, I have been on the executive board of the PM&R interest group, the fitness representative, a med scholar helping first-year medical students with anatomy lab, and a part of various clubs.
