Chiamaka J. Ukoha, MD

Resident
University of Texas Southwestern Medical School

Dr. Chiamaka Joy Ukoha is currently a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Resident at UTSW. Dr. Ukoha received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 and graduated medical school from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in 2021. Dr. Ukoha is passionate about mentorship, disparities in pain management, and community engagement. Her mission as a physiatrist is to build a therapeutic relationship with patients to maximize their function in all aspects of their lives as well as expand the practice of physiatry to areas that lack efficient care, especially for the underserved community.
