Derek Day, MD is a fourth year Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation resident at MedStar Georgetown National Rehabilitation Hospital. He completed an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Brigham Young University followed by medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He also spent two years as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research activity has included projects on platelet rich plasma for osteoarthritis, botulinum toxin for extensor tendinopathy, shear wave ultrasonography for hamstring injuries, and competitive diving injury epidemiology. He plans to pursue a fellowship and career in sports medicine.
