Azadeh Shafieesabet, MD

Azadeh Shafieesabet, M.D. and Ph.D. candidate at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She is also working as a post-doc research fellow at NYU Langone Rusk Rehabilitation. Her primary research interests are stroke and neurorehabilitation. She is particularly interested in post-stroke rehabilitation. Her research focus is identifying biomarkers that could prognosticate recovery after stroke. She is also working on eye-hand coordination after acquired brain injury (ABI). Dr. Shafieesabet holds an M.D. from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She is in her last year of the Ph.D. program in neuroscience with the focus of neurorehabilitation. She is also in the 2022-2023 match cycle for physical medicine and rehabilitation speciality.
