Devon Shuchman is a Pain/PM&R physician and Associate Service Chief at the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System and Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Michigan Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Shuchman earned her Masters of Science degree and Medical Doctorate at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. She completed internship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL before returning to the University of Michigan for her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and pain medicine fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Shuchman completed the Medical Education Scholars Program while in training at the University of Michigan and has continued her work in medical education research, milestones and outcome measures.With clinical interests in women's health rehabilitation, Dr. Shuchman provides interventional and non-interventional pain and spine care to the Veterans at the AAVA Hospital. She served as Assistant Program Director of the Michigan Medicine Pain Medicine Fellowship and now leads the PM&R service in advancing VA Whole Health programs for Veterans. Dr. Shuchman is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.
