Dr. Al Lawati completed her PM&R Residency at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. Al Lawati completed her Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship at Beaumont Health, Michigan. She started her career as the only physiatrist at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso, El Paso, TX. She is now the assistent professor at the University of Minnesota in the department of Rehabilitation. Dr. Al Lawati’s research interests are: cultural competency in medical education, brain injury/ concussion and spina bifida.
Dr. Al Lawati’s clinical interests include: Brain Injury, spasticity management, concussion and brain injury, amputation and neuromuscular medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Al Lawati enjoys watching makeup bloggers and learning about updates in the makeup world!
