Elizabeth (Lisa) Varghese-Kroll, MD

Dr. Elizabeth (Lisa) Varghese-Kroll, MD, FAAPMR is a physician advisor with Med-Metrix’s Physician Advisory and is based in the Washington, D.C. area. With over a decade of experience in physician advising, she has broad expertise in varied realms of the field, including spearheading thousands of concurrent reviews and appeals cases and testifying as an expert witness on behalf of hospital clients at hundreds of Administrative Law Judge hearings, all of which have been complemented by her clinical experience in both private practice and the VA system. She earned a B.S. in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and her M.D. from the University of Virginia, and she completed her PM&R residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey / Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. She has an extensive background in broadcast and print journalism, is an author for Doximity.com, is the co-host of the health and parenting podcast Health and Home with the Hippocratic Hosts, and is a founding member of the Andwise Medical Advisory Board.
