Pediatric Rehabilitation Resident PGY-5
Cincinnati Children's, Ohio
I grew up in South Carolina where I attended both undergraduate and medical school. I discovered physiatry in my third year of medical school and fell in love. Then I worked with kids and realized Pediatric Physiatry was my future. I have been in the combined Pediatrics/PM&R residency at Cincinnati Children's and will be graduating at the end of this academic year. Over the last two years, I have been able to incorporate my love for video games into my practice. I have partnered with two nonprofits (The AblgeGamers Charity and The Bridge Adaptive) to establish an adaptive video game model in Cincinnati. We now are able to provide monthly evaluations to both kids and adults who are limited in some way from using a regular controller so that everyone can play video games together. I'm excited to start excpanding this model out to other cities with the help of these organizations and any other enthuisastic people wanting to join.
I'm also very fortunate to have a supporting wife, Emma, and beautiful 6 month old son, Ellison. They will both be attending AAPM&R with me this year!
