Alba Azola, MD is a Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PMR) specialist and assistant professor at Johns Hopkins department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pediatrics. Her clinical and research focus rehabilitation of Long COVID, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and associated conditions. She is part of the Multidisciplinary PASC Collaborative of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, developing best practices guidance statements for assessment and management of Long COVID . She collaborates with researchers at Hopkins focusing on understanding the neurobiological underpinnings of Long COVID as it relates to neurocognitive function, fatigue, autonomic dysfunction and Post Exertional Malaise.
She is now part of the Johns Hopkins Chronic Fatigue Clinic in the department of Pediatrics and expanding the care provided in this clinic to the adult population with ME/CFS.
