Dr. Joline Brandenburg is a consultant in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. She holds the academic rank of Associate Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Brandenburg graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and the University of Minnesota. Dr. Brandenburg is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Brandenburg is chair of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Division and Director of the Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida Clinic at Mayo Clinic. Besides clinical interests in rehabilitation management of children with neuromuscular disorders, including cerebral palsy, her research focuses on motor unit development and motor unit properties in cerebral palsy. Outside of Mayo Clinic, she serves as the Naitonal Institute of Neurologic Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) Cerebral Palsy Common Data Elements Oversight Committee Chair, American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Treasurer, and AAPMR BOLD Steering Committee Member.
