Dr. Ryan Kruse is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Iowa, as well as the Associate Program Director of the University of Iowa Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship. He is also a team physician for US Soccer and USA Rugby, and has received his International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Medicine. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Mayo Clinic and his Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Iowa. He has a special interest in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided microinvasive procedures, as well as the use of orthobiologics for the treatment of joint and soft tissue pathology. He currently has multiple ongoing research studies involving musculoskeletal ultrasound and orthobiologics. He is involved in numerous national organizations and has taught at the local, regional, national, and international level.
