Mitchell Prywes, MD is the Medical Director of the Center For Pain Rehabilitation, an Integrative Medicine practice in Danbury, CT (www.centerforpainrehab.com).
He specializes in therapeutic approaches in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain conditions, including neck and back pain, myofascial pain and fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain.
Dr. Prywes is a graduate of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine (AZCIM) Fellowship founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, and has been a leader in Integrative Medicine principles, practice, and education for three decades. He is Board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Medical Acupuncture, Pain Management, and has extensive training in Osteopathic Medicine, Botanical Medicine, dietary supplements/nutrition, and mind-body strategies.
Dr. Prywes has been involved with Medical Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine educational programs at the University of CT School of Medicine. He has lectured extensively at national conferences on the use of Acupuncture, Integrative Medicine, and Medical Cannabis to address chronic pain. Dr Prywes is an appointed member of the Medical Advisory Board for the CT Dept of Consumer Protection’s (DCP) Medical Marijuana Program (MMP).
