Dr. Surendra Barshikar is an Associate Professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine. He is the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the department of PMR and serves as a Medical Director of ambulatory clinics at UTSW and Parkland hospital.
He specializes in brain injury medicine and has interest in neurorehabilitation, spasticity management and taking care of patients with concussion and other brain injuries. He is also the director of the COVID Recover program at UTSW which sees patients with PASC.
