Sheng Li, MD, PhD is a Professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at UTHealth McGovern Medical School. He is board-certified in PM&R and Brain Injury Medicine. Professor Li’s clinical focus is neurorehabiliation and spasticity management. He takes a comprehensive approach for spasticity management, including modalities, botulinum toxin injections, phenol and cryo-neurolysis, and baclofen pump management. Professor Li’s research interests are pathophysiology and management of spasticity, and disordered motor control after stroke and Neuromodulation. His research has been supported by NIDILRR, NIH and foundation grants. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles.
