Jonathan Napolitano, MD, FAAPMR, is the Director, Adaptive Sports Medicine Program and Limb Deficiency Clinic and Co-Director of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in the Division of Sports Medicine and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He serves as an Assistant Professor in Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
In addition to treating athletes in traditional sports medicine musculoskeletal and concussion clinics, Dr. Napolitano leads the Nationwide Children's Hospital Adaptive Sports Medicine Program, an innovative program developed to evaluate and treat athletes with physical disabilities. By promoting access and inclusion, this program strives to keep patients active and healthy in pursuing their athletic goals from recreation to the Paralympics. He serves as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association's Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine and as the team physican for Reynoldsburg Highschool.
Dr. Napolitano attended Georgetown University and The University of Toledo College of Medicine prior to his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his training with a fellowship in Pediatric Sports Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio where he continues to practice.
