Sarah Welch is a health systems researcher and assistant professor at the Nashville VA Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC) and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of PM&R. Her research interests lie in geriatric rehabilitative care especially as it applies to acute care, post acute care, and transitions of care. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based practices to hospitalized patients and evaluating interventions to improve processes and patient outcomes. She completed the VA Quality Scholars Fellowship and is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Scientist Training Program.
