Brief Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Ronald Tolchin is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury and has served as the Medical Director for the Baptist Center for Spine Care at Baptist Health South Florida for the past 7 years. In his current Baptist position, he coordinates spine care along with a team of physiatrists and neurosurgeons from the many Baptist Hospital and Urgent Care Centers across 4 counties in South Florida. Prior to this he was the Chief of PM&R at the Miami VA Healthcare System and Associate Residency Director for PM&R at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Presently, he is a Voluntary Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Neuroscience at FIU, Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine and Voluntary Associate Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine where he is actively engaged in teaching medical students and residents. He has co-authored several book chapters (3 chapters within the past two years), published several peer reviewed articles within various topics of physical medicine and rehabilitation, and is actively participating in spine research. He has held many leadership positions over 25 years of clinical and academic practice.
