Dr. Nimish Mittal is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He holds a full-time staff physician and clinician investigator appointment at the Comprehensive Pain and Musculoskeletal Program at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Mittal holds a cross-appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Dr. Mittal is an active member of the Hypermobile EDS and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders committee of the International Consortium of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. He is fellowship-trained in chronic pain management and holds a Master’s in Health Research Methodology.
Dr. Mittal has a particular interest in developing treatment pathways and models of care for multisystemic problems in hypermobility related complex connective tissue disorders. His other clinical and research interests include advancing best clinical practices in managing chronic shoulder pains and comprehensive multimodal pain management, including X-Ray and ultrasound-guided injections. He has published several articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
