Altamash Raja, DO, CSCS is a sports physiatrist and a strength and conditioning specialist with extensive coaching experience, working with active individuals and elite athletes. He received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He then completed his sports medicine fellowship at Geisinger Northeast.
Dr. Raja specializes in non-operative management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. His clinical interests include the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional purposes, including orthobiologic injections (platelet rich plasma and prolotherapy), and advanced ultrasound-guided procedures (percutaneous needle tenotomies, tendon scraping and nerve hydrodissections). From a research perspective, he is interested in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, exercise physiology, nutrition, and the science of longevity. In his free time, he hosts the Medicine Redefined podcast which strives to improve individuals' health and our healthcare practices in general.
