The effectiveness and durability of restorative neurostimulation for mechanical Chronic Low Back Pain (mCLBP) associated with impaired neuromuscular control of the lumbar multifidus muscles has been demonstrated in several published clinical trials and results have shown to be reproducible in routine clinical practice globally. Appropriate patient selection for restorative neurostimulation should include a combination of detailed history, MRI review, relevant symptoms and positive physical assessments.
Learning Objectives:
Understand how restorative neurostimulation targets the underlying cause of mechanical low back pain
Understand the difference between restorative therapy vs palliative treatments
Properly identify patients that suffer from multifidus dysfunction
Determine where restorative neurostimulation fits into their practice
