Following residency training, career trajectories vary and there may be more options available outside the field of physiatry. This session will bring a panel of physiatrists together who have advanced their careers clinically and/or outside the clinical setting. We will discuss when the decision was made to pursue a non-clinical job, what decision went into this change, what things they enjoy about their current position and what they miss about practicing in a clinical setting, and finally advice for those interested in a career outside of clinical physiatry.

Understand the pros and cons of a non-clinical career.
Articulate the decisions that go into deciding whether or not a non-clinical career is the right choice for you.
