This session will describe how AAPM&R's Clinical Data Registry was designed and built to capture and analyze physiatric data including patient reported outcomes. The BOLD specialty vision calls for physiatry to embed itself in new practice models and expand the impact of its care. AAPM&R's Clinical Data Registry is the vehicle to document, analyze and improve the quality-of care physiatrists provide. Highlights from early adopter sites on how they incorporated patient reported outcome data collection into their workflows will be shared and how they are using that data in their practice setting. Learnings and challenges from our sites will be discussed as well as next steps for the registry.

Learning Objectives:

Better understand workflow challenges from early adopter sites in capturing common physiatric data elements for low back pain and ischemic stroke and how those sites are using that data in their practice.
Discuss need and implementation of patient reported outcomes in physiatry clinical settings and how sites are using captured PRO data in their practice setting.
Explore how aggregate data from the registry may be used to advance physiatry's position in local and national quality improvement initiatives.
